Chudoba a sociálne vylúčenie
Cieľom predmetu je oboznámiť študentov so základnými teoretickými východiskami a ich praktickými dopadmi v presahoch na klienta sociálnej práce a sociálnych služieb.
Komunitné sociálne a misijné služby
Vzdelávacím cieľom uvedeného tematického celku je dosiahnúť porozumenie pre špecifiká sociálnych a misijných služieb vedených komunitne. Zameriava sa na vznik a vývoj komunitného modelu sociálnej práce a sociálnych služieb. Poskytuje priestor pre poznanie kategoriálneho systému a paradigiem – najmä porozumeniu pojmu komunita a komunitná starostlivosť v podobe extramurálnych sociálnych služieb.
Kultúrna antropológia
Základným cieľom vzdelávacieho kurzu je predložiť študentom výklad konceptu kultúrnej antropológie. Taktiež je jeho zámerom priblížiť príslušný odbor, ktorý má nejednoznačné označenie (najčastejšie ako etnológia, resp. ako kultúrna a sociálna antropológia). Kurz obsahuje aj metodologické otázky adresné pre danú vedu. Okrem všeobecných tém vo vzťahu ku kategóriám kultúra a človek prináša aj reflexiu nosných poznatkov z vybraných antropologických smerov (kultúrnej antropológie, kultúrnej ekológie) a osobitne z filozofickej antropológie práve v kontexte výkonu pomáhajúcej profesie sociálnej práce v sociálnych službách.
Vybrané koncepcie sociálnej práce a sociálnych služieb
Vzdelávacím cieľom uvedeného tematického celku je dosiahnúť u študentov, aby mali vývojový prehľad o sociálnej práci v sociálnych službách. Ide o poznanie klasifikácie sociálnych služieb podľa rôznych životných situácií a sociálnych potrieb. Výučba sa zameriava na inováciu v sociálnych službách, a to v transformačnom kontexte, predstavuje aktuálne európske a národné stratégie, kontrolné paradigmy a ďalšie cieľové ašpirácie procesu ich poskytovania.
