This course builds on expands on Phonetics I focusing on suprasegmental (prosodic) aspects of speech (syllables, stress, intonation) covering articulatory, acoustic and functional aspects of the English sound system. The course builds awareness of the prosodic aspects and aims at improving students’ pronunciation.
